About us

The Edo State Health Insurance Commission was passed into law in May, 2019. Our mandate is to provide quality healthcare protection for all residents of Edo State, ultimately reducing the financial implications of out-of-pocket payments for medical services. This we hope to achieve by ensuring equitable distribution of healthcare facilities across the state, improving access to basic healthcare services and continuous manpower development for medical personnel under the EDOHIS
